Screen and station facade

This project aimed to enhance the screening of a bin enclosure near Hammersmith Tube Station. The existing store was enclosed with unappealing security fencing and barbed wire. The brief requested a more aesthetically pleasing screen as part of improvements to the station forecourt. Laser-cut Corten panels were chosen to harmonise with the new station facade’s colour palette. Horizontal linear patterns were incorporated to mirror the cladding patterns of the adjacent buildings. A stainless steel wire frame was suggested on top of the store to encourage climbing plants to grow over it.
